The container arrived twelve weeks after we did, and I left the same day they began to unload! I spent most of yesterday on airplanes and in airports going from Freetown to Accra, Ghana, then on to Johannesburg and finally to Cape Town, South Africa. Katey is here for the week, she has a paper to present at a linguistics conference next week. I have Doctor's appointments for next week, and we have the time together. It is worth 42 hours of travel to see my Katey girl!
Meantime, Randy is working on the tractor, there is a slight problem, but he will work it out (farm boys do!) I still have trouble sending the e-mails from my rfennig.com account out, I can get them in, but they do not send.
But for the next week I am connected to the outside world in a new and wonderful way! Thank you for your prayers.

The e-Mail problems more than likely reside in how the POP3 account within your e-Mail client is or has been configured.
Within your e-Mail client be sure that the incoming mail server is set to: pop.secureserver.net
The outgoing mail server should be set to: smtpout.secureserver.net
Make sure that your log-in information is correct: your eMail address and your correct password.
Your outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and should use the same settings as your incoming server. Be sure to set those options to reflect that.
The incoming POP3 server port should be set to 110.
The outgoing SMTP server port should be set to 80.
If you are using Microsoft Outlook as your eMail client, access your account settings via 'Tools' from the main menu and then 'Account Settings' from the drop down list.
Select your eMail address from the selection within the Email tab. Then select, 'Change'.
Check that the User Information, Server Information and the Logon Information are correct, as previously mentioned.
Click the 'More Settings' button.
Enter or check for correct information within the 'General' tab.
Check the 'Outgoing Server', the 'Connection' and the 'Advanced' tabs that both contain the correct information as previously mentioned.
Click the appropriate 'Ok', 'Finish' buttons within the appropriate dialog/selection windows. At the first window of 'Account Settings', click the 'Test Account Settings...' button.
If you run into questions, problems or need a formal document to guide you through checking of your eMail account settings with Outlook Express, Outlook 2003 or 2007, or a specific eMail client, leave a note here and I will get that information to you.
that guy
They had their clients (Thunderbird, since I am a Mozilla fanboy) set up properly when they left the States. I have been looking through the settings serverside and cannot find anything. I emailed GoDaddy a while back, but still have no response, so I am probably going to send then one again.
If the eMail account settings within Thunderbird have been checked and that settings are correct and the outgoing smtp port was set to 80, try setting it to port 25 or 3535.

There is a possibility of a conflict within the computer's firewall settings that has blocked Thunderbird and the outgoing port.
Thanks for all the help, it is Greek to me, and even though Katey can read Greek, we are still confused! Do not pull out any hairs worrying about it, we may lose our 24/7 internet if we move into Cape Town tomorrow (like I want to do!)
BTW's CApe Town is beyond incredible, and with the exchange rate it is SWEET!
Katey--
Follow this link, please, it has instructions and screen shots for setting up Thunderbird for GoDaddy e-Mail accounts.
http://products.secureserver.net/email/email_thunderbird.htm
If all your settings are identical including step 10, change the outgoing port number from 80 to 25.
Save the configuration.
Test the adjusted settings by sending yourself an e-Mail. If problems still exist and you cannot connect, try changing the outgoing port from 25 to 3535.
If needed and until these configuration settings can be corrected or the problem isolated and corrected, you can always log in to GoDaddy's Web based e-Mail to pickup, respond, etc. to your e-Mail.
